Bad Breath In Babies
Many adults have a problem of bad breath, but these days the problem is becoming more widespread for kids as well. If your kid has been having bad breath recently, here are a few tips to keep your baby's breath smell better.
Decreased saliva production is one of the most common reason as to why small kids suffer from bad breath. Saliva is responsible for washing the bacteria in the mouth. So make sure that your kids drink lots of fluids during the day, so that the breath will remain fresher.
But when the kid goes to bed, then there are chances that he or she may sleep with an open mouth, this procedure mainly dries out the mouth which results in the reduction of saliva production. This can cause morning breath- and it can happen in kids as well. If your baby has a habit of sucking the thumb, then this factor can also cause bad breath. In order to remove this habit, you must make sure that you give your child a pacifier or teething ring to solve the purpose.
If you brush your child's teeth every day, and are having him or her clean the mouth with the help of a kid-friendly mouthwash after every brushing, you should see an improvement in your child's breath in a very short span of time.
If your baby's breath smells something like a baked bread, then it can be an indication that he is suffering from typhoid fever, and if the smell is like celery, then it could be a sign that he/she is suffering from Aasthouse urine disease.
Garlicky kind of smell could indicate arsenic or thallium poisoning
you must make sure that you pay lots of attention to the actual scent of your child's breath to find as to what kind of treatment should be given.
If you feel that he is very serious, then you need to change your child's diet in order to remove toxins from the body. Having your kid drink water and all-natural juices a lot of time in a day will help the child to have a clean body and freshened breath.
You should provide your kids fresh foods at meal time, as packaged foods are responsible for the reduction of wastes from the body.
You should also have discussions with your child's doctor if you want to get rid of the problem permanently.
