  1. Ensure you have a balanced diet. Try to maintain the right weight for your age. Consult your doctor to know which foods are good for you and follow the prescribed diet. If you are trying to lose some weight, you should opt for low calorie meals. Food with high fiber and low fat should be made part of your diet while red meat, sugars and fats should be avoided.
  2. Aim to rink at least eight glasses of water everyday. This flushes out the toxins from the body. It is also advised for lactating women to have plenty of water to keep the body hydrated.
  3. Take Vitamins and Supplements. It is important to have sufficient Calcium intake for women of all ages. This helps to keep down cramps and Pre-Menstrual Period (PMS) Symptoms. It also reduces the risk of osteoporosis particularly for menopausal women. Vitamin E helps maintain a strong immune system.   10. Finally, you should not indulge in unsafe sex. Condoms must be used to prevent sexually transmitted diseases.
