The character that we display to the world comprises of our self-esteem, self-confidence, self-worth and self-image. These are the basic elements that reside in our immediate thought and the way others perceive us.

The character that we display to the world comprises of our self-esteem, self-confidence, self-worth and self-image. These are the basic elements that reside in our immediate thought and the way others perceive us. We all want to display our best outlook to our piers, but doesn't know to accomplish this?

First of all, you must understand that your self-image comes from the self-confidence within you, which give us the feeling of self-esteem. Generally, our self image is affected to the pressures of what others think about you. Imagine how relaxing your world be, if there is no judgment existent.

You must understand that our self-image is a compilation of many feelings, which we visualize to be true. Conversion of negative thoughts into positive feelings can empower you to succeed in all that you do. Here is a simple exercise which will reveal a lot about your thoughts.
  1. Take a piece of paper
  2. Divide the paper into two equal halves by drawing a line in the middle.
  3. Write the title of the paper as "Self-Image"
  4. Now, make sub categories like "Dress", "Talk", "Act", "Think"
  5. On the left side of the paper write "Positive"
  6. On the right side of the paper write "Negative"
  7. Write down as many thoughts as possible on the paper.
Once you've completed all these step find a quite spot and concentrate on what you wrote and ask yourself is this really true or is it just what you perceive to be true. In simple words, you'll find that most of your negative thoughts to be false. Now, think of ways to overcome these negative thoughts until you only have 2 or 3 left. This step will allow you to create a Self-Image you are happy with.
