Tips while standing:
- Make sure that you feet should be shoulder width apart, thigh muscles elongated but you should not lock the knees back.
- The next important step for the posture is that you should maintain a small hollow in your low back, but at the same time it is recommended that one should avoid the tendency for too much arch/leaning back, especially in the case when you have to deal with prolonged standing.
- The "tail" should remain slightly tucked down.
- Lift the breastbone. Gradually when you will lift the breastbone, you will notice that your shoulder blades will move down in back. When you will do this, it will automatically create a good distance from your hipbone to your rib cage.
- Thenext tip is to male your chin level. This posture states that the highest point of your body should be the top back region of your head. This is done in order to relax your jaw and neck muscles. Just close your mouth, and , rest your tongue on the roof or your mouth.
- make sure that both your feet should be resting on the floor with knees and hips bent 90 degrees. Just relax your mind as well as body.
- Now you have to maintain an arch in the low back. If you don;t have any knowledge as to how much arch is "good," then take my advise and go from a slouched position up to the extreme end range of erect posture. Now back off 10-15%. this is what we call neutral position that plays a very important role for your low back.
