In this hectic pace of life, stress has become a common part of our lives to the point it creates anxiety attacks. Don't take these attacks lightly as it can cause not only heart problems, but also stroke and low blood pressure. Studies show that stress heart problems are one of the leading problems of heart attacks or other cardiovascular problems in the western world.

Usually, an overwhelming feeling of fear or nervousness is termed as stress induced anxiety or panic attack. In these situation it becomes nearly impossible to think or behave normally. You may have hear the term "frozen by fear." Well, anxiety attacks is quite similar to that feeling. These attacks are known to directly effects the heart.

In an anxiety attack, our brain is signaled about an imminent danger. The moment the body is informed about the danger the heart starts racing and providing emergency blood to the other organs. Our eyes become alert and muscles tightens. In simple words, every part of our bodies is called on for greater energy.

If the periods of danger are short then it's alright. But, under a stress induced anxiety, our brains keep our bodies on full alert. All the work that goes into maintaining that high level makes it impossible to sustain it. The heart starts beating much faster. Even though, the brain signals the heart to slows down so that the body can rest. But the anxiety doesn't lets them to slow down.

Here are some the common effects of an anxiety attack:
  • Feeling cold
  • Nervous trembling
  • Irregular or fast heart beat
  • Breathing difficulties
  • Blood pressures goes up or down
As we all know, the importance to alleviate stress from our lives. But, our busy schedules has made stress caused heart problems common.
