Here in this article, I want to tell you my personal experience! This condition is known as Bruxism and the fact is that it only refers to the involuntary grinding of the teeth when you're asleep. A lot of people don't even believe that they are suffering from this problem, might be because they are asleep and they can not figure out whether they are griding their teeth or not, but they do!
The reality is that it is an extremely tough condition to address because it happens in your sleep. I would like to tell you my experience that in a majority of cases, I used to feel loads of pain in my jaws, especially when I used to wake up! But at the same time I didn't have the first clue why. I eventually learned that I as grinding and that is what was leading to the pain.
The main problem behind all this is that you're asleep. When we sleep, our sub conscious mind gets activated, but our conscious mind isn't awake to say 'hey stop'. That is why a person may have the best intentions, but when he is in deep sleep, it will just continue. I will tell you as to how I got rid of this problem. My doctor advised me to have a sports mouth guard. You just have to mold it to your mouth and put it in before you go to bed. When you will use this mouth guard, then it will be almost impossible for you to grind teeth.
