Every physician and the Centers for Disease Control suggests that a child should receive 24 vaccination injection by the age of two. Though, it may seem as a big deal for a baby, but if a parent adheres to the immunization schedule will help prevent certain diseases for the child. Here are some of the common diseases that can be prevented through vaccination:

Vaccines help protect the recipient not only from disease, disability, and death but also protect the community as a whole. The more people who are vaccinated the less likely it is that a disease outbreak will occur.

The Childhood Immunization Initiative was introduced in 1990s. The main goal of the initiative was to introduce a wide range of efforts to increase the immunization coverage of children in the United States. At present, immunization coverage levels have increased tremendously. The studies indicate that there has been a 95% reduction in cases of vaccine-preventable diseases.
