Bleeding in pregnancy has always been a worrying cause for many women. But the fact is that it is also surprisingly common.

There can be a lot of reasons behind this cause:

The fact is that during the early stages of getting pregnant, a women may suffer from a day or two of light bleeding. On the later stages, when the placenta embeds in the uterine lining, the bleeding can be mild. But in some rare cases, she may experience 'breakthrough' bleeding as well.

The hormones that are responsible for covering up a woman's usual hormonal cycle are known as Pregnancy hormones. But still there are incidents when variations in those normal cycles still go on. Some of them may experience bleeding at around the time they normally go through the menstruation cycle. This may happen due to this 'background' variation in hormonal levels.

It
may also happen than they might experience a cervical erosion (a softening of the cervix). This situation may lead to bleeding in early pregnancy. The bleeding in pregnancy is also linked with a vaginal or cervical infection or a polyp (a benign growth). This type of bleeding can also occur after the intercourse as well. Sometime it becomes extremely difficult to decide as to what is the exact reason and what has actually caused minor bleeding.

It's worth talking to your doctor about any kind of problems, specially bleeding during  pregnancy. The fact is that if light spotting is noticed then it is not considered a major problem, but if you have witnesses fresh bleeding, especially if you are feeling immense, or mild pain in abdominal or cramping, then the situation needs immediate attention.
The situation might be a sign of miscarriage in many women. One must always consult doctor to find out the causes.
