Of late, government officials in most countries have been introducing stringent actions against smokers. These measures are in a way helping smokers cut down the scale of smoking at least in public places thereby keeping the surrounding area fresh and clean. In many countries smoking is strictly banned especially in public places.
According to a recent survey it was found that the number of people getting trapped to the addiction of smoking is increasing day by day. Even youngsters below the age of 18 years are getting hooked to smoking. The main reason behind it is the easy availability and the cheap rate of cigarettes. Young people for the sake of adventure start smoking but eventually get hooked to it. At times, even they couldn't figure out when their occasional smoking habits
got transformed into a vice.
In developed countries like United States and the United Kingdom, where the average income of a person is very high, the rate of smoking among teenagers is found to be very high. Although, the good news is that recent studies show that due to strict rules and regulation the percentage of occasional smokers has slightly dipped. The result shows that the chances of future permanent smokers might decrease.
Now, the real challenge that the government authorities have to face is the ability to maintain this low percentage of smokers. To protect our future generations this is the only one way that the number of permanent smokers gets reduced or stagnated.
The percentage of smokers can only be reduced if people start realizing, how smoking is an evil habit and how killing it can be. A person will only be able to combat this addiction with strong will power and proper awareness. It’s highly advisable that people shouldn't try any drugs to quit smoking without proper consultation.
